New leak for Assassin’s Creed Riftthe rumored new chapter in the Ubisoft. The new information they are unconfirmed, so it is right to take them with due caution. However, they are quite detailed, therefore interesting.

According to Deep Throat, which preferred to remain anonymous, Assassin’s Creed Rift is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2023, although Ubisoft would prefer a late 2022 launch. full price and will not offer a free crossgen upgrade. So whoever buys the Xbox One or PS4 versions will have to pay to upgrade it to the PS5 or Xbox Series X and S versions.

The game will be announced over the next Ubisoft Forward, where there will also be a teaser of Assassin’s Creed Infinity (you will only see the silhouette of a man, with the logo of the game). In the teaser trailer there will be Altair, the protagonist of the first Assassin’s Creed, who, however, will not be in the game, but will be mentioned in the poems that will be found during the adventure.

For those wondering, Ubisoft hasn’t planned any remastered edition of the first Assassin’s Creed. That said, Assassin’s Creed Rift should run on an updated version of Anvil, Ubisoft’s proprietary engine. Apparently there are already problems for the smooth, unspecified Xbox One (performance?).

Finally, Assassin’s Creed Rift will not have DLC, but it will be a completely standalone title. It will also be released on Nintendo Switch in a cloud edition, curated by Ubisoft Saguenay.
