During the event celebrating the fifteenth anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed series, the new and latest free expansion for Valhalla, that is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Last Chapter.
Gareth Glover, post-launch game director of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, introduced The Last Chapter, which as the title claims should be the last expansion for the chapter of the series released in 2020 and which has received considerable support so far in terms of updates and additional content.
The common feature of the various expansions of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a desire to also explore different game structures than that of the main title, as we have seen in the River Raid, in the Mastery Challenge, in the Tomb of the Fallen and in Forgotten Saga, which has introduced roguelike characteristics, while The Last Chapter seems to want to put a conclusion capable of close the various issues of history remained open.
The new expansion is a collection of new quests of the story that will be distributed for free: Eivor is ready for new adventures and is determined to leave his people to leave, but first he must finish what he started. This will lead him to reunite with various characters encountered along the path of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, including some of historical significance, waiting to learn more about them.
There is still no precise release date for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Last Chapter but it is still expected by the end of 2022therefore it shouldn’t be long before its arrival on PC and consoles.
