Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 may have his zombie modewhereas some rather explicit references to this seem to have been found among the game files Activision, following a datamining carried out.
The presence of the mode in question would not be exactly a surprise, considering that it is now a tradition for the series, but Activision has never officially mentioned the arrival of Zombies in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, probably reserving its presentation to a dedicated event, given the importance covered by this section of the game.
User CODSploitzImgz’s initial tweet, as you can see below, was basically deleted, at least as far as images are concerned, following a takedown request by Activision for DMCA infractionwhich if desired can be seen as further confirmation of the veracity of the question.
The found files contained references to game elements such as “Round Based Zombies” and “Outbreak”, whose links to Zombie Mode seem obvious. However, well-known journalist / insider Tom Henderson also suggests taking this information with caution, because although it is likely he has not received confirmation, so far, of the presence of this mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
On the other hand, considering that the game is expected to have perhaps two years of support, it is possible that such an addition will only be made later, at some distance from the release. Meanwhile, Campaign Early Access has nearly 100,000 players already signed up on Steam at the same time, which is quite an achievement considering the game only officially launches on October 28.
