Dead Island 2 it has not been canceled, as reported by the well-known leaker Tom Henderson: The project is still alive and new ones have emerged details on development, which seems even well advanced.
A little over a year ago Deep Silver suggested that Dead Island 2 had not been canceled, but then silence fell again on the sequel to the action survival based on zombie originally developed by Techlandthe team that recently baked Dying Light 2: Stay Human (review).
Henderson said work on Dead Island 2 is progressing well, and that the gameplay of this second episode will be very similar to that of the original chapter but will clearly introduce a number of improvements.
The game will include several scenarios, with the main setting being based on the Beverly Hills area, andexit it could take place between the fourth quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023.
That being the case, it is clear that a new reveal of Dead Island 2 could in all likelihood take place during the summer.
