Dead Island 2 has long since fallen into oblivion, but the project is still in development and will be resubmitted by the end of 2022: this is what is indicated by a new report by Tom Henderson, published on the tryhardguides website.
As indicated by Hendersonthe (obviously unnamed) source didn’t give a precise presentation date for Dead Island 2, but did say that an announcement at The Game Awards 2022 in December “would make a lot of sense”.
Henderson says Dead Island 2 will focus on cooperative game. The cast should be completely new and should include five or six characters. The leaker also claims that various sources have reported the game to be in good shape. One of the sources who have been able to play the game states that “it’s probably one of the games I look forward to the most”. It also seems that the settings will be multiple, including Hollywood and San Francisco.
Deep Silver and parent company Embrace Group explained in a financial meeting that the exit period it could be next fiscal year, i.e. the release date would be set by March 31, 2023.
We remind you that what Henderson has indicated is for now only a rumor and nothing more. For confirmations or denials, we will have to wait for the developers.
