They are called e-room and they are gods apartments specially designed for i gamerscomplete with a gaming PC, desk, chair and many other dedicated accessories, which can be rented in Japan to play in peace.
This is just the umpteenth gimmick of a Japanese company to hit the gamers market, providing them with dedicated services or gadgets, such as the suit that facilitates defecation or gamer wands.
The apartments for gamers were created to meet the need of those who cannot spend to buy a gaming PC, complete with a dedicated workstation, especially necessary if you come from the console world.
So the Basara company decided to tackle the problem, creating gamer-ready apartments, fully furnished to meet the most varied needs. The characteristics of the PCs inside them differ according to the rental price. The cheapest plan, defined for beginners, costs around 320 euros per month (39,000 yen) and includes a PC equipped with a GeForce GTX 1650 with an Intel Core i7 processor and a 480GB SSD. The elite plan, the most expensive (around 600 € per month), includes a PC with a GeForce RTX3070Ti, with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and a 1TB SSD.
Renters can also choose from fifty different combinations of mouse and keyboards of houses such as Corsair, SteelSeries and many others. If you have Twitch ambitions, you can also add the streamer package, which includes a webcam and microphone.
If desired, there are also plans for other types of activities to be carried out with the PC, such as that of an illustrator or that of a video creator, both with specifically designed systems.
There are currently two buildings offering e-rooms for rent and both are located in Miyagi prefecture in Sendai, but Basara aims to expand the offer across Japan.
