Elden Ring and performance problems: Bandai Namco reassures users, patches are coming

All Game News

Elden Ring is available today and already promises to be one of the most successful games of 2022. Yet many, especially on PC, are complaining about a less than perfect optimization, with fluctuating performances and other flaws. A few minutes ago, Bandai Namco published a post apologizing to the players for the problems encountered by users and promised the arrival of patch.

In the post on the company’s official website, the main issues of the game are discussed point by point, promising corrective patches and suggesting “do-it-yourself” fixes to users where possible.

As for the framerate and performance issues in general of Elden Ring, Bandai Namco states “we are constantly working to improve the game, so that it can be played properly on different PC configurations and platforms”. Specifically for the PC version, Bandai Namco recommends updating the GPU drivers to the latest version if you haven’t already.

Always remaining on the PC theme, in the near future a corrective patch will be published for the problems related to the high sensitivity of the mouse and the problems related to starting Easy Anti-Cheat with Steam accounts with names consisting of 2-byte characters.

Finally, as regards the saves that are not registered correctly for the PS5 version of Elden Ring, Bandai Namco says it is working on a corrective patch and recommends in the meantime manually saving progress by exiting the game from the menu before shutting down the console or closing the application.

In the meantime, if you still have to start your journey in the Interregnum and you don’t know which class you will choose, take a look at our guide.
