Final Fantasy Tactics could really make a comeback, perhaps with a Remake or a Remasterbased on a vague reference made by producer Ichirô Hazama that the responsible team would be working on a new project.
Interviewed by the French site FFWorld especially on Theatrhythm: Final Bar Line, Hazama reported that “the team that manages Final Fantasy Tactics is very busy on another project at the moment”. It is likely that the producer was referring to the Tactics Ogre: Reborn team, which evidently concluded work on this title and moved en masse to a particularly demanding new project.
Considering the logical connections and the fact that for some time now there has been talk of a possible return of Final Fantasy Tactics, suspicions have fallen precisely on the latter. The title in question had already emerged in the famous Nvidia GeForce document leakalong with other games that actually appeared on the market.
On the part of Square Enix, the list mentioned the same Tactics Ogre: Reborn and also Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition together with a mysterious Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster, which makes its existence at this point somewhat credible, pending any confirmations from Square Enix.
