God of War Ragnarok: a possible release date comes from a retailer

All Game News

God of War: Ragnarok might have one release date fixed, as reported by a reseller in South America placing it outbound for June 2022although obviously this is not an official source.

As reported by the tweet below, confirmed by various sources, the “JuegosDigitales” retailer chain which is active in Chile, Mexico and Colombia, has set the release of God of War Ragnarok for June 2022, which represents one of the first actual indications of a precise release period concerning the new game by Sony for PS4 and PS5 .

As always happens in these cases, the information cannot be taken as official nor particularly reliable: in many cases, retailers assign a release date provisional to products that are already present in its catalog. It could therefore easily be a placeholder being defined, with a presumed date or in any case assigned arbitrarily pending communications.

However, in some cases it is possible that some sales channels have access to information on distribution well in advance of the public, which is why we just report the matter without giving it too much weight for the moment. On the other hand, the well-known journalist Jason Schreier has reported in recent days that he does not believe that God of War Ragnarok can be postponed beyond 2022, which probably places his release within the year.

On the other hand, there are now numerous rumors that want a PlayStation presentation event for March 2022, which could be an ideal time to announce the release date of the new game, pending further information.
