The version PS4 Of Gran Turismo 7 will be contained in two discs instead of one. The confirmation comes directly from the game page on PlayStation Direct, which precisely indicates that the old-gen version of the new Polyphony Digital exclusive will be on two Blu-Ray, as opposed to the PS5 one.
As we know on PS5, the digital version of Gran Turismo 7 will be a big boulder for the console’s SSD and apparently the dimensions on PS4 will also be pretty full-bodied. As we learn from Sony’s official site, playing on PS4 requires minimal 110 GB of free space and, as previously mentioned, it will be on two discs, as opposed to the PS5 version which instead requires only one Blu-Ray.
The Blu-Ray used for PS4 are capable of storing up to 50GB of data, while the format used by PS5 incorporates up to 100 GB, which explains this choice by Sony. This is not the first case for a PlayStation Studios game, even the retail version of The Last of Us Part 2 is in fact on two discs.
We remind you that Gran Turismo 7 will be available in stores and in digital version starting from 4th March. Those who have played GT Sport will be able to transfer some of their progress into Polyphony Digital’s new racing, including driver classification and sportiness.
