Jetpack Interactivea small independent support studio based in Vancouver, has posted job postings for a AAA live service game it is working on with Sony.
According to what is indicated, it would be a game based on a “flagship” IP of PlayStation and will be part of Sony’s production effort aimed at the live service area. The Canadian team is actively recruiting engineers in the gameplay, networking and rendering fields.
It appears that this is the first game that Jetpack Interactive will be developing independently, as they usually port games and support larger development teams. For example, he helped EA with the NBA Live series for several years before providing “engineering support” for the Dark Souls Steam update. He then did the same for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2.
In recent years, however, the studio seems to have developed a relationship with Sony. He converted Orcs Must Die! Unchained for PS4, made God of War on PC and helped out with God of War Ragnarok.
Are we witnessing the first steps of the acquisition of Jetpack Interactive by PlayStation Studios?
