The director of PreyDan Trachtenberg, revealed that he chose the film’s composer after playing ad Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Let’s talk about Sarah Schachner who composed the music for the Ubisoft game.
As you can see below, Trachtenberg retweeted the post by Schachner in which the composer announced that the Prey soundtrack will be released simultaneously with the film on August 5th.
The director wrote: “When we were preparing for the film in Calgary, I was playing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and thought ‘this music is insanely beautiful. Who composed this?’. The answer is Sarah Schachner. You will be listening to her a lot in the future, I promise…”
Schachner, composer and string player, co-composed the music for Assassin’s Creed: Unity and provided additional cello, violin and guitar arrangements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Need for Speed: The Run, Army of Two : The Devil’s Cartel and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag before returning to co-compose Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. She has also worked on the soundtracks of several films, including The Lazarus Effect, The Expendables 2, Iron Man 3 and Now You See Me.
