With a teaser trailerCapcom officially announced Street Fighter 6, the new chapter in the long-running fighting game series. The video was presented at the end of the mysterious countdown launched on the official website of the Japanese software a few days ago and during the Season Final of the Capcom Pro Tour 2021.
As mentioned at the beginning, Street Fighter 6 was announced with a very short teaser trailer that shows Ryu and Luke ready to compete in combat, without however offering even a gameplay sequence.
In addition to the official logo, at the moment Capcom has not revealed any other details on the fighting game, such as the release period and the reference platforms, but has promised the arrival of more details during thesummer 2022. In the meantime, you can visit the official website at this address.
Street Fighter 6 will therefore be the successor of the fifth chapter, released in 2016 on PS4 and PC. Despite the problems and criticisms for the lack of content, the game was constantly supported by Capcom with new characters, costumes and modes over the years, enjoying some success in the long run. In this sense, it will be interesting to see how the Japanese software house intends to manage the launch of Street Fighter 6 and the post-launch support of the game.
The Capcom Fighting Collection was also announced today, a collection that includes 10 classics of the fighting game genre for PC and console, enriched with various extras and features, including online multiplayer.
