According to the well-known insider Dusk Golem, Street Fighter 6 will not use theUnreal Engine as in the case of the fifth chapter, but rather the RE Engineadopted by most of the games produced by Capcom in recent years.

In response to a user on Twitter, the well-known deep throat, particularly informed about the internal movements of the Japanese house, explained that Street Fighter 6, the new chapter of the series announced just this morning, as well as all the other Capcom games coming out in the coming years. , will exploit the company’s proprietary engine.

This is information at the moment without any official confirmation and consequently to be taken with pliers, but the tip is quite credible, even taken for granted if we retrace the recent history of Capcom.

The RE Engine was in fact used for most of the Capcom games from 2017 onwards, including Resident Evil, Devil May Cry 5 and Monster Hunter Rise. There are some exceptions, such as Monster Hunter World, released in 2018 and which uses the MT Framework, but let’s talk about special cases.

Street Fighter 5 instead came out in 2016 and uses the Unreal Engine 4, one of the most popular graphics engines in the industry, thanks to the simplicity with which it can be adapted to different genres and needs. In this sense, however, even the RE Engine proved to be quite versatile.
