Let’s read the official description:
Based on the award-winning video game that burst onto the gaming scene with stunning retro animation style, The Cuphead Show! is a comedy series that follows the unique misadventures of the lovable and impulsive villain Cuphead and his cautious but easily influenced brother Mugman. As the two scour their surreal world – the Inkwell Isles – in search of fun and adventure, they always watch each other’s backs. Unless there’s only one cookie left, in which case each cup is for itself. The Cuphead Show! combines nostalgic delights, funny gags and a healthy dose of fear, especially when a ridiculously weird nemesis, the Devil himself, arrives on the scene to play with our heroes.
For King Features, CJ Kettler will executive produce and Cuphead creators – Chad and Jared Moldenhauer – will executive produce for Studio MDHR. The series will be produced by Netflix Animation and is produced by Emmy and Annie Award winning producer Dave Wasson (Mickey Mouse Shorts) and co-produced by Cosmo Segurson (Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling).
