EA has announced that it will end support a The Sims 4 Legacy Edition: starting from 12 December 2022 you will no longer be able to download the game. Players can upgrade to the standard version and transfer their saves, provided their computer meets the minimum specifications of the regular version of the game, of course.
The Sims 4 Legacy Edition is a version designed for less powerful computers and for this reason it has a series of limitations: not all functions and contents can be used with this version of the game.
The announcement was made via the Twitter profile official series, as you can see below. Players can choose to upgrade to the Standard Edition, as long as the device meets the minimum requirements. Also the save files they are transferable.”
IT’S AT states that “If you update your computer to meet the latest system requirements, you’ll be able to run The Sims 4 normally. Once you’ve updated to the full version of the game, you’ll be able to transfer your save files by following the steps below.”
here are the steps recommended for transferring save data:
- Open the Documents folder.
- Open the Electronic Arts folder.
- Copy the folder called The Sims 4 Legacy Edition.
- Transfer the file to the same folder (Documents/Electronic Arts) on the new computer and rename it to The Sims 4.
