Let’s read how Telltale’s Darren Gladstone told The Wolf Among Us 2 on the PlayStation Blog:
“They have passed [controlla il calendario] eight years after the release of the original series. I understand perfectly well if you need a refresher. Here it is:
Fairytales are real, and they live side by side with ordinary people in New York City, because of course everyone wants to go where they make good pizza. But I’m digressing.
These fairy tales have yet to blend in and live with us. The Big Bad Wolf (Bigby)? It’s the sheriff who keeps people in line. Snow White helps keep things going, and there’s a sea of well-known fairy tales that they’re just trying to get by.
The new trailer gives you a taste of what’s to come, including the chance to stretch your legs out of Fabletown to explore more of the Big Apple in the winter of 1980. That’s right, this new season takes place six months after the events of season one. . As Bigby, you’ll face a case that spans the normal, mundane world, struggling over who to help. Ah, but we can’t go too far yet.
Half of our team is made up of former Telltale employees and we have accomplished a lot in the two years since we announced the revival of Telltale.
We are working behind the scenes not only to rebuild, but also to re-design how to run a studio. How to do it in a sustainable way? What can we do to make the job easier?
A CLUE: It includes planning entire seasons from the start and using a new engine (Unreal), among other things.
We have a long way to go before the game is ready for launch in 2023, but we intend to continue and take the time to make this a great game. If you want to be informed about our progress, come and greet us on our social channels.
More importantly, directed to all of you: we thank you for giving us this opportunity to come back and create the kind of games we love the most.“
