Through IIDEA we have the opportunity to see the data of the Italian video game ranking. There Top 10for the week 02/07 – 02/13, shows us that Switch is once again able to dominate on PS4 and PS5, while Xbox disappears again.
First of all, let’s see the physical and digital ranking (unless otherwise indicated) Italian:
- Arceus Pokémon Legends – Switch (Physical Data Only)
- GTA 5 – PS4
- FIFA 22 – PS4
- Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition – Switch
- FIFA 22 – Switch
- Just Dance 2022 – Switch
- Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle – Switch
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Switch (physical data only)
- Dying Light 2 Stay Human – PS5
- F1 2021 – PS4
As you can see, six out of ten positions in the Italian Top 10 are occupied by Nintendo Switch games, three of which are exclusive to the platform. As for PlayStation, the best-selling games are the usual ones: Grand Theft Auto 5, FIFA 22, the recent Dying Light 2 Stay Human and F1 2021.
We also note that Arceus Pokémon Legends is able to get the top position by relying solely on physical data, while other games also count digital sales. Similarly, this means Mario Kart 8 Deluxe could be in a higher position if we had the full data.
Finally, we note that Xbox, rarely in the ranking in Italy, has disappeared again. At the end of January 2022 between PS5 and Switch, Xbox was a surprise, but apparently it didn’t last long.
