Warhammer: Vermintide 2 it was redeemed ten million times during the time it was free on Steam. This was announced by the Fatshark development studio with a post on Steam itself, evidently happy with the result, which also suggested a video to help newbies get into the game.
Currently Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is back to payment, albeit with one discount 80% off the basic price. So it can be purchased for €5.59 instead of €27.99. The initiative was born to celebrate the short arrival of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide and the seven years of the franchise, but evidently it had a greater appeal than expected by the developers themselves, so much so that the game managed to get into the top 10 of the most played on Steam.
The celebrations organized by Fatshark are not over yet. Right now, the first half of the free DLC A Treacherous Adventure has been launched, which adds the snowy map Trail of Treachery, along with a major update that introduced several free cosmetic items.
