During the Meta Connect, the presentation event dedicated to the technological and gaming universe of Meta currently underway, the CEO Satya Nadella of Microsoft also confirmed the arrival of Xbox Game Pass on Meta Questthrough functionality Xbox Cloud.
Xbox Cloud Gaming will allow you to stream everything from catalog of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate through Meta Quest, with a direct link to the Microsoft service in the Meta Quest Store. This obviously expands the game possibilities on the Meta viewer enormously, for all those who have a subscription to the service or who are willing to subscribe.
At the launch of Xbox Cloud Gaming on Meta Store (still without a precise date), it will be possible to connect an Xbox controller to the headset and play Xbox Game Pass titles within the VR context given by Meta Quest. However, these will still be displayed in 2D on a large virtual screen, similar to what previously happened with Xbox titles on Oculus.
